A Unified Voice for the Province

"We the residents of Jammu Province hereby resolve to form a social voluntary organisation with the name 'Jammu Province Bachao Manch' (JBM) to protect, project the pride, dignity, honour, improve quality of life, aspirations, socio-economic and political interests and to build a broad unity across all sections."

Our Core Mission: To fight against drug menace, unemployment, and corruption on priority. To work for statehood status and protection of land and jobs by way of special constitutional provision.

We strive to create a strong movement through wider interactions, seminars, and public consultations on important geo-political interests of Jammu Province.

The Constitution

  • To forge broader unity among people of all sections.
  • To fight against drug menace, unemployment, and corruption.
  • To restore statehood status and protect land/jobs.
  • To work for strengthening Panchayati Raj and cottage industries.
  • To promote local languages, dialects, and culture.
  • Establish institutions for academics, vocational, and professional excellence.

Membership Categories: The organization shall have Patrons, Life Members, Institutional Members, Individual Members, Youth Members, and Active Members.

Active Member: Pays prescribed fee and abides by the constitution.

Delegate: An Active Member who enrolls 25 members. Delegates have voting rights to constitute block/district committees.

Selection Mode: Consensus is preferred to avoid groupism. Elections held by Apex Body if necessary.

Tenure: 3 Years for all bodies (Apex, Provincial, District, Block).

Funds Generation: Membership fees and donations from general public.

Bank Accounts: Jointly operated by Chairman/President and Treasurer. Audited annually by CA.

Legal: The Forum may sue or be sued in the name of the Chairman (Apex Body) under Societies Registration Act 1860.
